Another fine example of a traditional type stoneware Irish Whiskey Flagon from Kehoe & McGraths 49 William St Dublin.
Like the majority of these remarkably robust yet conversely fragile stonewear flagons, this example does have some minor damage and is missing a portion of the right aspect of its handle. The manufacturers of the flagon were Price Ltd Bristol .
The 1913 Electoral Roll shows the inhabitants of 49 William St Dublin as being Bernard McGrath and Robert Kehoe, both rate payers. They presumably were bonded
We are glad to report that although 49 (south) William St is no longer a public house in the guise of Kehoe & McGraths,,it is now a pool hall with a bring your own beer policy.
